WWE Tickets for UK Tour

WWE, the United States based wrestling troupe, will be making yet another tour in the UK this Autumn. The Wrestlemania Revenge, Monday Night Raw, and Smackdown brands will be performing once again, and WWE tickets will be on sale soon. The publicly traded entertainment company, owned by Vince McMahon, has toured previously in the UK, including performances in Glasgow and London. However, this will be the first time the Wrestlemania Revenge tour heads out this way. these shows will be shown on TV in the US and UK.

WWE History

Beginning in 1952 under the corporate name Capitol Wrestling Corporation LTD, the WWE began life as the WWWF, known as the World Wide Wrestling Federation. The WWWF performed primarily in the Northeastern wrestling circuit, and eventually controlled the entire area. In the 1980’s the brand changed names to WWF, or Worldwide Wrestling Federation, and saw their popularity skyrocket. Televised professional wrestling soon became big business, and the WWF began its longtime stint of syndication across the United States. Now signed on with AWA superstar Hulk Hogan, WWF became known for its increased focus flashy showmanship and entertainment instead of typical wrestling itself. A multitude of stars arose from the 80’s era of wrestling, including Andre the Giant and Macho Man Randy Savage.

WWE Golden Age

The 90’s brought more changes to the WWF, including the end of a long standing lawsuit with the World Wildlife Federation that brought about a name change to WWE or Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment. WWE formed such US television mainstays as Monday Night Raw, Smackdown, and a continuation of the popular Wrestlemania pay-per-view events. Wrestlemania, which began as a popular promotional venue, became a major event within the WWE’s sphere and soon introduced a new era of wrestlers as the last era’s wrestling superstars retired. Triple H, The Rock, and Stone Cold Steve Austin emerged from the late 90s as wrestling idols to millions. The WWE finally ended up buying out former rival wrestling rings WCW and ECW and their stars as well, and now tours worldwide.
